Southern Boone Eagles (Ashland, MO) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Kirksville Tigers (Kirksville, MO), 61-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southern Boone upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Eagles host Hickman (Columbia, MO) to play the Kewpies in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Kewpies go into the bout with a record of 16-3. Hickman won 53-39 in their recent non-league bout against St. Elizabeth (St. Elizabeth, MO)

Next up, the Tigers play the Chillicothe Hornets (Chillicothe, MO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 16. Kirksville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record.
