Nestucca Bobcats (Cloverdale, OR) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Knappa Loggers (Astoria, OR), 53-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nestucca upgrades its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Portland Christian (Portland, OR) to play the Royals in a 2A Northwest bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Royals come into the bout with a record of 6-10. Portland Christian lost 55-44 in their recent league bout against Clatskanie (Clatskanie, OR)

Next up, the Loggers play the Gaston Greyhounds (Gaston, OR) in a 2A Northwest bout, on Friday, February 3. Knappa will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Greyhounds come into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 42-30 league loss to Vernonia (Vernonia, OR).
