West Virginia High School Basketball - Lincoln nips Preston

Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 53-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Lincoln upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Cougars host Grafton (Grafton, WV) to play the Bearcats in a Big Ten bout on Friday, February 3. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Grafton lost 65-36 in their recent league bout against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV)

Next up, the Knights play the Robert C. Byrd Eagles (Clarksburg, WV) in a Big Ten bout, on Friday, February 3. Preston will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 65-36 league win over Grafton (Grafton, WV).
