California High School Basketball - McFarland edges Taft

February 1, 2023: Taft, CA 93268

The McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA) basketball nipped the host Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA), 55-50 in Wednesday's league test.

The Cougars (20-6) will now prepare for their test against Kennedy (Delano, CA). The Thunderbirds go into the South Sequoia test with a 10-13 record. In their last test, Kennedy was tipped by Wasco (Wasco, CA), 46-39, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to Chavez for a South Sequoia test on Friday, February 3. Taft will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 57-35 league win over Wasco (Wasco, CA). The Titans record now stands at 10-11.
