Sacred Heart Academy (Hamden, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mercy Tigers (Middletown, CT), 60-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Sacred Heart Academy upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The travel to Law (Milford, CT) to clash with the Lawmen in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Lawmen go into the bout with a record of 0-16. Law lost 44-42 in their recent non-league bout against Cheshire (Cheshire, CT)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Amity Regional Spartans (Woodbridge, CT) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Mercy will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record.
