In Wednesday's league outing, the Skowhegan River Hawks (Skowhegan, ME) basketball squad beat the visiting Mt. Blue Cougars (Farmington, ME), by a count of 41-30.

The River Hawks (7-8) will now prepare for their outing against Brewer (Brewer, ME). The Witches go into the A North outing with a 3-9 record. In their last outing, Brewer defeated Erskine Academy (South China, ME), 36-33, in a league outing.

The Cougars now hold a 2-11 record. They play next when they travel to Messalonskee for a A North outing on Friday, February 3. Mt. Blue will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 74-28 league loss to Lawrence (Fairfield, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 0-14.
