In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Parish Hill Pirates (Chaplin, CT) basketball squad nipped the visiting Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT), by a margin of 44-40.
The Pirates (7-7) will now prepare for their outing against Bulkeley (Hartford, CT). The Bulldogs go into the Capitol Region outing with a 0-4 record. In their last outing, Bulkeley was tipped by Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (Hartford, CT), 38-30, in a league outing.
The Clippers now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Life Center Academy for a non-league outing on Friday, February 3. Putnam will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 81-73 non-league loss to DME Academy (Daytona Beach, FL). The Warriors record now stands at 15-6.
