The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC) basketball nipped the visiting North Moore Mustangs (Robbins, NC), 49-46 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Buccaneers (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Cummings (Burlington, NC). The Cavaliers go into the non-league test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Cummings got by Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC), 52-31, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Seaforth for a test on Friday, February 3. North Moore will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 43-10 league win over Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 15-3.
