The Monroe Trojans basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the visiting Bedford Kicking Mules to 39 in the Trojans league victory on Thursday.

The Trojans now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Huron for a Southeastern - Red contest on Friday, February 2. Monroe will battle a River Rats team coming off a 64-34 league win over Dexter (Dexter, MI). The River Rats record now stands at 12-2.

The Kicking Mules (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Skyline (Ann Arbor, MI). The Eagles come into the Southeastern - Red contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Skyline was nudged by Saline (Saline, MI), 57-52, in a league contest.
