Notre Dame Nikes (Burlington, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Central Lee Hawks (Donnellson, IA), 52-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Notre Dame upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Nikes host Pekin (Packwood, IA) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-9. Pekin lost 70-62 in their recent league bout against Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Hillcrest Academy Ravens (Kalona, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Central Lee will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Ravens go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 70-43 league win over Wapello (Wapello, IA).
