In Thursday's non-league outing, the Clarendon Lions (Clarendon, AR) basketball squad edged the host Hazen Hornets (Hazen, AR), by a count of 70-64.
The Lions (11-9) will now prepare for their outing against Midland (Pleasant Plains, AR). The Mustangs go into the 1A Region 5 outing with a 2-16 record. In their last outing, Midland was tipped by Marvell (Marvell, AR), 76-57, in a league outing.
