The Creek Valley Storm (Chappell, NE) basketball nipped the visiting Minatare Indians (Minatare, NE), 36-35 in Thursday's league test.
The Storm (4-10) will now prepare for their test against Leyton (Dalton, NE). The Warriors go into the D2 District 11 test with a 9-10 record. In their last test, Leyton was tipped by Sedgwick County (Julesburg, CO), 58-27, in a non-league test.
The Indians now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they host Banner County for a D2 District 11 test on Friday, February 2. Minatare will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 58-40 non-league win over Weldon Valley (Weldona, CO). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-13.
