The Scarborough Red Storm (Scarborough, ME) basketball nipped the host Deering Rams (Portland, ME), 61-60 in Thursday's league test.
The Red Storm (13-3) will now prepare for their test against Westbrook (Westbrook, ME). The Blue Blazes go into the non-league test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Westbrook got by Marshwood (South Berwick, ME), 50-36, in a league test.
The Rams now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Thornton Academy for a AA South test on Saturday, February 3. Deering will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 52-50 league loss to Sanford (Sanford, ME). The Trojans record now stands at 5-13.
