In Thursday's league outing, the DePaul Catholic Spartans (Wayne, NJ) basketball squad edged the visiting Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ), by a margin of 70-63.

The Spartans (9-11) will now prepare for their outing against Clifton (Clifton, NJ). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 9-11 record. In their last outing, Clifton held off Eastside (Paterson, NJ), 53-52, in a league outing.

The Paladins now own a 2-18 record. They play next when they travel to Montclair for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 3. Paramus Catholic will clash with a Mounties squad coming off a 59-52 league loss to Newark Collegiate Academy (Newark, NJ). The Mounties record now stands at 9-8.
