New Haven Rockets (New Haven, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Grosse Pointe North Norsemen (Grosse Pointe, MI), 53-49 in a league bout.

With the win, New Haven upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Rockets host Universal Academy (Detroit, MI) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Universal Academy lost 57-51 in their recent non-league bout against Hope Christian Academy (Westland, MI)

Next up, the Norsemen clash with the Fraser Ramblers (Fraser, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Grosse Pointe North will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Ramblers go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 47-46 non-league loss to Clintondale (Clinton Township, MI).
