Pineville Mountain Lions (Pineville, KY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Harlan Green Dragons (Harlan, KY), 77-74 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pineville upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Mountain Lions host Berea (Berea, KY) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 15-6. Berea won 57-55 in their recent non-league bout against Somerset Christian (Somerset, KY)

Next up, the Green Dragons play the Middlesboro Yellowjackets (Middlesboro, KY) in a District 52 bout, on Friday, February 2. Harlan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 62-60 league loss to Bell County (Pineville, KY).
