The Immaculate Mustangs (Danbury, CT) basketball nipped the visiting Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT), 61-54 in Thursday's league test.
The Mustangs (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Bunnell (Stratford, CT). The Bulldogs go into the Southwest test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Bunnell got by New Milford (New Milford, CT), 78-42, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kolbe-Cathedral for a Southwest test on Monday, February 5. Pomperaug will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 89-54 non-league win over Kennedy (Waterbury, CT). The Cougars record now stands at 15-0.
