John J. Duggan Academy (Springfield, MA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting McCann Tech Hornets (North Adams, MA), 66-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, John J. Duggan Academy upgrades its record to 13-0 on the campaign. The travel to Pioneer Valley Regional (Northfield, MA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 7-3.

Next up, the Hornets play the Ludlow Lions (Ludlow, MA) in a Tri-County - North bout, on Monday, February 5. McCann Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
