In Thursday's non-league outing, the Red Bird Cardinals (Beverly, KY) basketball squad edged the host Kentucky School for the Deaf Colonels (Danville, KY), by a count of 1-0.
The Cardinals (3-11) will now prepare for their outing against Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY). The Mountaineers go into the District 49 outing with a 11-11 record.
The Colonels now hold a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Frederick Fraize for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 6.
