The Kerman Lions (Kerman, CA) basketball nipped the host Sierra Pacific Golden Bears (Hanford, CA), 69-65 in Thursday's league test.

The Lions (13-13) will now prepare for their test against Sierra (Tollhouse, CA). The Chieftains go into the non-league test with a 18-8 record. In their last test, Sierra got by Fowler (Fowler, CA), 76-41, in a league test.

The Golden Bears now own a 14-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hanford for a non-league test on Saturday, February 3. Sierra Pacific will encounter a Bullpups squad coming off a 60-57 league loss to Tulare Western (Tulare, CA). The Bullpups record now stands at 9-16.
