Woodstock Wasps (Woodstock, VT) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Leland & Gray Rebels (Townshend, VT), 49-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Woodstock upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Wasps travel to White River Valley (Royalton, VT) to play the Wildcats in a Southern Vermont - C bout on Saturday, February 3. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 13-1. White River Valley won 47-44 in their recent league bout against Twin Valley (Wilmington, VT)

Next up, the Rebels play the Rivendell Academy (Orford, NH) in a Southern Vermont - C bout, on Friday, February 2. Leland & Gray will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The come into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 64-56 league win over Green Mountain (Chester, VT).
