Morton Potters (Morton, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL), 54-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Morton upgrades its record to 23-4 on the season. The Potters host East Peoria (East Peoria, IL) to play the Raiders in a Mid-Illini bout on Saturday, February 3. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 12-13. East Peoria lost 52-37 in their recent league bout against Washington (Washington, IL)

Next up, the Rockets play the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Limestone will attempt to upgrade on its 5-17 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 18-8 record after their 42-36 non-league loss to Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL).
