The Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Williams Valley Vikings (Tower City, PA), 72-49 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Golden Bears (21-0) will now prepare for their test against Shenandoah Valley (Shenandoah, PA). The Blue Devils go into the Schuylkill County 3 test with a 2-18 record. In their last test, Shenandoah Valley was trounced by Williams Valley (Tower City, PA), 70-34, in a non-league test.
The Vikings now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Minersville for a Schuylkill County 2 test on Friday, February 2. Williams Valley will encounter a Battlin' Miners squad coming off a 56-26 league win over Weatherly (Weatherly, PA). The Battlin' Miners record now stands at 12-7.
