The Mesick Bulldogs (Mesick, MI) basketball nipped the host Mason County Eastern Cardinals (Custer, MI), 42-35 in Thursday's league test.

The Bulldogs (6-11) will now prepare for their test against Bear Lake (Bear Lake, MI). The Lakers go into the West Michigan D test with a 4-12 record. In their last test, Bear Lake was tipped by Pentwater (Pentwater, MI), 62-36, in a league match.

With the defeat, Mason County Eastern moves to 6-10 on the year. The Cardinals host Walkerville (Walkerville, MI) to meet the Wildcats in a West Michigan D match on Friday, February 2. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 6-8. Walkerville lost 77-41 in their recent league match against Baldwin (Baldwin, MI)
