New London-Spicer Wildcats (New London, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN), 73-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, New London-Spicer upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Litchfield (Litchfield, MN) to play the Dragons in a AA Section 3 bout on Friday, February 2. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 4-14. Litchfield won 70-69 in their recent non-league bout against Watertown-Mayer (Watertown, MN)

Next up, the Lakers play the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters (Sauk Centre, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Minnewaska Area will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Mainstreeters come into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 71-56 non-league loss to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN).
