New Mexico High School Basketball - Navajo Prep overwhelms Newcomb

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) and the visiting Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), saw Navajo Prep's basketball squad wallop Newcomb by a tally of 81-21.
With the victory, Navajo Prep improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM) to confront the Cougars in a 3A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Tohatchi won 80-68 in their recent league challenge against Zuni (Zuni, NM)
Next up, the Skyhawks confront the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) in a 3A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Newcomb will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 82-57 league win over Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM).
