Patrick Henry Patriots (Roanoke, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Salem Spartans (Salem, VA), 63-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Patrick Henry upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Patriots host Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA) to play the Trailblazers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Trailblazers go into the bout with a record of 19-0. Spotswood won 70-39 in their recent non-league bout against Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 77-68 league loss to Alleghany (Covington, VA).
