The Springfield Cougars basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the visiting Penncrest Lions to 43 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Constitution for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Springfield will battle a Generals team coming off a 90-58 non-league win over Boys' Latin Charter (Philadelphia, PA). The Generals record now stands at 16-5.

The Lions (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Marple Newtown (Newtown Square, PA). The Fightin' Tigers come into the Central contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Marple Newtown edged Ridley (Folsom, PA), 63-43, in a league contest.
