The West Central Blue Devils (Maynard, IA) basketball felled the visiting Tripoli Panthers (Tripoli, IA), 47-34 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Blue Devils (1-19) will now prepare for their test against Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA). The Eagles go into the Upper Iowa battle with a 4-15 record. In their last battle, Clayton-Ridge went down by MFL MarMac (Monona, IA), 85-31, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 0-19 record. They play next when they host Riceville for a Iowa Star test on Tuesday, February 6. Tripoli will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 59-53 non-league win over BCLUW (Conrad, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-12.
