Valley Indians (Lucasville, OH) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Waverly Tigers (Waverly, OH), 49-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Valley upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Indians travel to Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH) to clash with the Senators in a Southern Ohio III bout on Friday, February 2. The Senators go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Portsmouth West won 51-37 in their recent non-league bout against Piketon (Piketon, OH)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Wheelersburg Pirates (Wheelersburg, OH) in a Southern Ohio III bout, on Friday, February 2. Waverly will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 63-56 league loss to South Webster (South Webster, OH).
