Alamo Navajo Cougars (Magdalena, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy Eagle (Albuquerque, NM), 30-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Alamo Navajo upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Cougars travel to Jemez Valley (Jemez Pueblo, NM) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Jemez Valley lost 55-36 in their recent non-league bout against Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM)

Next up, the Eagle play the Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 64-14 league loss to Roy/Mosquero (Roy, NM).
