The Deer Lakes Lancers basketball team (Russellton, PA), dropped 45-34 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA)

The Vikings now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burrell for a WPIAL 3A 3 battle on Monday, February 5. Apollo Ridge will battle a Bucs team coming off a 59-28 league win over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Bucs record now stands at 14-4.

The Lancers (4-15) will now prepare for their battle against Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Bulldogs come into the WPIAL 3A 3 battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Shady Side Academy prevailed over Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA), 53-32, in a league battle.
