Babylon Panthers (Babylon, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mattituck Tuckers (Mattituck, NY), 51-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Babylon upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Panthers host Shelter Island (Shelter Island, NY) to play the Islanders in a Section 11 A/B/C/D-7 bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Islanders go into the bout with a record of 0-5. Shelter Island lost 51-20 in their recent league bout against East Hampton (East Hampton, NY)

Next up, the Tuckers play the Smithtown Christian Knights (Smithtown, NY) in a Section 11 A/B/C/D-7 bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Mattituck will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 28-27 league win over Port Jefferson (Port Jefferson, NY).
