The Baraga Vikings basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting L'Anse Purple Hornets to 33 in the Vikings league triumph on Thursday.

The Vikings now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ewen-Trout Creek for a Copper Mountain contest on Monday, February 5. Baraga will battle a Panthers team coming off a 63-11 league win over Watersmeet (Watersmeet, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 11-2.

The Purple Hornets (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against West Iron County (Iron River, MI). The Wykons enter the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, West Iron County was routed by Negaunee (Negaunee, MI), 73-55, in a non-league contest.
