The Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS) basketball crushed the visiting Strayhorn Mustangs (Sarah, MS), 68-10 in Thursday's league test.
The Cougars (21-1) will now prepare for their test against Potts Camp (Potts Camp, MS). The Cardinals go into the 1A Region 3 test with a 5-14 record. In their last test, Potts Camp walloped Vardaman (Vardaman, MS), 49-46, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 1-13 record. They play next when they travel to Water Valley for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. Strayhorn will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 55-9 league loss to Calhoun City (Calhoun City, MS). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-18.
