Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Fleming County Panthers (Flemingsburg, KY), 67-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Boyd County upgrades its record to 18-6 on the season. The Lions host Blazer (Ashland, KY) to play the Tomcats in a District 64 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Tomcats go into the bout with a record of 18-4. Blazer won 74-48 in their recent non-league bout against Conner (Hebron, KY)

Next up, the Panthers play the George Rogers Clark Cardinals (Winchester, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Fleming County will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 21-2 record after their 70-13 league win over Paris (Paris, KY).
