The Pine River-Backus Tigers basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Browerville Tigers to 64 in the Tigers league triumph on Thursday.
The Tigers now sport a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Upsala for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Pine River-Backus will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 76-42 league win over Browerville (Browerville, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-9.
The Tigers (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN). The Jaguars enter the A Section 5 contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa was nudged by Holdingford (Holdingford, MN), 66-38, in a non-league contest.
