Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Central Tigers (Cape Girardeau, MO) and the visiting Cairo Pilots (Cairo, IL), saw Central's basketball squad overcome Cairo by a tally of 53-44.

With the victory, Central improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Kennett (Kennett, MO) to confront the Indians in a Southeast Missouri challenge on Monday, February 5. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 17-4. Kennett won 69-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Greenville (Greenville, MO)

Next up, the Pilots confront the Cobden Appleknockers (Cobden, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 5. Cairo will attempt to improve on its 8-17 season record.
