North Yarmouth Academy Panthers (Yarmouth, ME) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Carrabec Cobras (North Anson, ME), 55-31 in a league bout.

With the win, North Yarmouth Academy upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME) to play the Seagulls in a C South bout on Monday, February 5. The Seagulls go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Old Orchard Beach lost 40-25 in their recent league bout against Madison (Madison, ME)

Next up, the Cobras play the Temple Academy Bereans (Waterville, ME) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Carrabec will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Bereans go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 33-25 league loss to Vinalhaven (Vinalhaven, ME).
