The Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) basketball crushed the visiting Collegiate (Baton Rouge, LA), 50-24 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Hornets (16-9) will now prepare for their test against North Central (Lebeau, LA). The Hurricanes go into the 1A District 6 test with a 5-16 record. In their last test, North Central was trounced by Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA), 68-49, in a league test.

The now own a 0-20 record. They play next when they travel to Glen Oaks for a 3A District 6 test on Friday, February 2. Collegiate will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 66-31 league loss to Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 12-20.
