Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy Mustangs (Chattanooga, TN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tyner Academy Rams (Chattanooga, TN), 46-16 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy upgrades its record to 1-15 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Sale Creek (Sale Creek, TN) to play the Panthers in a 1A District 5 bout on Friday, February 2. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 17-5. Sale Creek won 56-37 in their recent non-league bout against South Pittsburg (South Pittsburg, TN)

Next up, the Rams play the Sequatchie County Indians (Dunlap, TN) in a 2A District 4 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Tyner Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 13-11 record after their 1-0 league win over Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (Chattanooga, TN).
