In Thursday's league outing, the Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), by a count of 62-29.
The Storm (11-10) will now prepare for their outing against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM). The Rams go into the 5A District 1 outing with a 14-7 record. In their last outing, Rio Rancho was crushed by Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM), 70-60, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 2-18 record. They play next when they travel to Valley for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 3. Cibola will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 33-31 league win over Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM). The Vikings record now stands at 7-12.
