Claiborne Academy Rebels (Haynesville, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Union Christian Academy Lions (Farmerville, LA), 55-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Claiborne Academy upgrades its record to 9-10 on the season. The Rebels travel to Riverdale Academy (Coushatta, LA) to play the Rebels in a MAIS 2A District 4 bout on Friday, February 2. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 18-3. Riverdale Academy won 58-8 in their recent league bout against Union Christian Academy (Farmerville, LA)

Next up, the Lions play the Northeast Baptist Knights (West Monroe, LA) in a MAIS 2A District 4 bout, on Friday, February 2. Union Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 0-13 record after their 40-5 league loss to Central School (Grand Cane, LA).
