Cleburne County Tigers (Heflin, AL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Ranburne Bulldogs (Ranburne, AL), 42-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cleburne County upgrades its record to 7-16 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Munford (Munford, AL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 0-13. Munford lost 64-17 in their recent non-league bout against Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Woodland Bobcats (Woodland, AL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Ranburne will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 28-20 non-league win over Pleasant Valley (Jacksonville, AL).
