Darlington Tigers (Rome, GA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Pepperell Dragons (Lindale, GA), 49-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Darlington upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Tigers host Armuchee (Rome, GA) to play the Indians in a A D1 Region 7 bout on Friday, February 2. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 11-11. Armuchee won 40-38 in their recent league bout against Dade County (Trenton, GA)

Next up, the Dragons play the Coosa Eagles (Rome, GA) in a A D1 Region 7 bout, on Friday, February 2. Pepperell will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 50-16 non-league win over Dalton Academy (Dalton, GA).
