DePaul Catholic Spartans (Wayne, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ), 53-41 in a league bout.

With the win, DePaul Catholic upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Spartans host Academy of the Holy Angels (Demarest, NJ) to play the Angels in a Big North - United bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Angels go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Academy of the Holy Angels won 51-33 in their recent non-league bout against Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, NJ)

Next up, the Paladins play the Immaculate Heart Academy Blue Eagles (Washington Township, NJ) in a Big North - United bout, on Saturday, February 3. Paramus Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Blue Eagles go into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 46-33 league win over Academy of the Holy Angels (Demarest, NJ).
