Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) and the visiting Eastern Eagles (Beaver, OH), saw Northwest's basketball squad knock off Eastern by a tally of 40-32.

With the victory, Northwest improves its record to 6-12 on the campaign. The Mohawks travel to East (Sciotoville, OH) to play the Tartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Tartans come into the challenge with a record of 2-11. East lost 61-19 in their recent league challenge against Glenwood (New Boston, OH)

Next up, the Eagles play the Oak Hill Oaks (Oak Hill, OH) in a Southern Ohio II challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Eastern will attempt to improve on its 4-15 season record. The Oaks come into the challenge with a 1-19 record after their 40-39 non-league loss to Clay (Portsmouth, OH).
