Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Moorefield Yellow Jackets (Moorefield, WV) and the host Frankfort Falcons (Ridgeley, WV), saw Moorefield's basketball squad hold off Frankfort by a count of 47-43.

With the victory, Moorefield upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets travel to Pendleton County (Franklin, WV) to play the Wildcat in a Potomac Valley challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcat come into the challenge with a record of 6-11. Pendleton County lost 67-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Keyser (Keyser, WV)

Next up, the Falcons play the Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders (Parkersburg, WV) in a Little Kanawha - West challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Frankfort will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 46-37 non-league loss to Hampshire (Romney, WV).
