Freedom Irish (Freedom, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Oconto Falls Panthers (Oconto Falls, WI), 45-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Freedom upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Irish travel to Luxemburg-Casco (Luxemburg, WI) to play the Spartans in a North Eastern bout on Friday, February 2. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Luxemburg-Casco lost 54-45 in their recent league bout against Denmark (Denmark, WI)

Next up, the Panthers play the Clintonville Truckers (Clintonville, WI) in a North Eastern bout, on Friday, February 2. Oconto Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Truckers go into the bout with a 3-16 record after their 60-38 league loss to Marinette (Marinette, WI).
