Gibsonburg Golden Bears (Gibsonburg, OH) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Old Fort Stockaders (Old Fort, OH), 65-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Gibsonburg upgrades its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Golden Bears travel to St. Joseph Central Catholic (Fremont, OH) to play the Crimson Streaks in a Sandusky Bay - River bout on Saturday, February 3. The Crimson Streaks come into the bout with a record of 4-13. St. Joseph Central Catholic lost 39-38 in their recent league bout against Woodmore (Elmore, OH)

Next up, the Stockaders play the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - River test, on Saturday, February 3. Old Fort will attempt to advance on its 8-10 season record. The Chieftains go into the test with a 6-12 record after their 49-41 league loss to New Riegel (New Riegel, OH).
